I was supposed to post the answer yesterday in regards to my ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER POST. Nevertheless I didn’t cuz I played hooky from the computer.
Anyhow, the answer… drum roll please…

Wanna know how *I* figured it out?
I started from the beginning:
1 girl has
7 back packs with a total of 49 big cats and
343 little cats so that totals…
2 legs for each girl
196 legs for the big cats in each bag
1372 legs for the little cats in each bag
which means that Each girl accounts for 1570 legs – multiplied by 7 girls equals 10,990.
